An Introduction to MIQUEST Query WritingThis full-day training session will allow delegates to gain a more in-depth understanding of the data extraction tool MIQUEST and will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills they need to write basic MIQUEST query sets using the HQL Editor software. This session explores the three different types of MIQUEST query, the associated outputs and when each one is best used. Learn how to structure questions about the data held on GP clinical information systems and translate them into functional queries. Data Quality Assessor TrainingA full-day workshop which aims to equip delegates with the relevant skills and knowledge needed to support and assess the level of data quality within a practice. Learn how to examine the efficiency of GP practice data flows and standards of information management and data recording. Notes SummarisingHalf-day workshop designed for GP practice staff responsible for summarising patient health records. Delegates will leave the workshop with the knowledge of how to organise a medical record in readiness of summarisation onto the practice’s clinical information system. Delegates will discuss the items that might be pruned or culled and how to identify what data to include in the patient electronic patient record. Delegates will also leave with a good understanding of the legal implications of managing patient health records and an appreciation of how quality records are supported by good summarisation. PRIMIS in PracticePCOs have already had the opportunity to experience one PRIMIS in Practice training day for free but can now purchase additional training days. Quality and Outcomes Framework Update workshopThis workshop is designed for GP practice staff so that they may develop a sound understanding of the changes to the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) effective from 1 April 2012. Delegates will be up to date with retired, replaced and new indicators across the clinical and organisational domains. The training will support GP practices to improve their information management, specifically in relation to data capture and recording, and thereby maximise potential for achieving QOF points. Quality Coding for CTV3This half-day session will enable delegates to understand the structure of Clinical Terms Version 3 (CTV3) terminology and learn how to use different search techniques to find appropriate clinical terms quickly and easily. Learn about qualifiers, optional codes and abbreviations. Quality Coding for Read V2A half-day session which will enable delegates to understand the structure of Read Version 2 clinical terminology and learn how to use different search techniques to find appropriate clinical terms quickly and easily. Learn about hierarchy impurities, false synonyms and abbreviations. Quality Data, Quality OutcomesThis half-day workshop has specifically been designed for GP practice staff. As an outcome of this training, delegates will know the attributes of data quality and how they relate to quality records management in general practice and be able to support the promotion and improvement of quality patient records in their practice. Understanding Primary Care DataA half-day workshop designed to give newcomers to primary care and primary care data an insight into the distinctiveness, value and uses of GP patient electronic health records. Learn about the many information needs and data flows within primary care including how data in general practice are captured, recorded and managed. As part of this session delegates will also explore clinical commissioning information requirements and identify how accurate primary care data can support these needs. About these workshopsThese workshops are held for small groups of delegates. We recommend a maximum of 12 to ensure that delegates gain as much from the sessions as possible. Prices upon request. |
