The launch of the PRIMIS Hub membership scheme will be followed by the release of a new query set from PRIMIS, designed to help commissioning groups and GP practices evaluate the quality of key data that could be useful for commissioning purposes.

The PRIMIS Data Quality for Commissioning query set looks at the recording quality of referral data, high cost investigations, outpatient activity, and emergency admissions and discharges. It also provides an overview of how many patients in a practice have conditions such as diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease and hypertension, enabling comparisons to be made with practices which have similar disease profiles.

All full members of the PRIMIS Hub will be able to use the new query set once it is released. They will also have access to a range of useful guidance materials to help them make best use of the Data Quality for Commissioning queries.

The Data Quality for Commissioning query set will be followed by a second version later this year that will look at more specific data items in more detail. Again, this version will be available to all full members of the PRIMIS Hub.
